optronic student trainee
Optronics ability work with the technology and optics of the future is greatly dependent on our success in attracting professional talents. Since our employees of tomorrow are the students of today we think it is important for us to get to know each other. That is why Optronic has started OPTRONIC STUDENT TRAINEE, each year two ambitious and accomplishing master degree students in their third or fourth year are accepted in the program.

The program is a mixture of traditional internship and study-program parallel to the regular courses. The program gives the trainee students a chance to get to know the industry and Optronic access to skilled co-workers in the future.
The students of 06/07 performed a development project of an optical product. That project taught them a lot regarding different steps of product development.
In 2007/2008 Peter Erkki and Åsa Granli from Luleå Technical University were accepted to the program. They investigated how Optronic measure and evaluate company and employee performance.
The outcome of their project was recommendations which hopefully will improve Optronic's processes. The students' purpose was to familiarize themselves with Optronic and get an insight in how a modern company measure and evaluate performance.

For the year 08/09 the students Jesper Håkansson and Ville Kaikkonen were accepted. Both these students are currently taking the photonics courses in Lund.
